Our Story

Born and bred East Hawthorn, Dr. Jess Chester schooled at Bialik College and went to The University of Melbourne. After graduating, she worked in the country to diversify her skills and experience. Although she loved working in the country, Dr. Chester returned to Hawthorn East to get married to her long-standing boyfriend Sam Chester. Back in Melbourne, while working in the CBD at a trendy boutique eyewear optometry practice, Dr. Chester decided that her local community in Hawthorn East deserved exposure to both globally sourced and handmade eyewear too. Together, the recently married team Sam (Management Consultant, Amatuer Footballer,  with a passion for delivering great customer service) and Jess (Optometrist and ex-model, fashion lover) created Chester Eyewear.
